Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas. As for Bill and I, we've been spending the past couple of days packing up and moving out. It will be bittersweet leaving our little apartment 3305. But I'm sure new surroundings will bring new adventures.

I have received:
- Happy Birthday flowers
- I'm Sorry flowers
- I Miss You flowers
- I Like You flowers
- I Love You flowers

But I think it's the Just Cause flowers I get for myself I like best.

Snow Globe

Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving! I was very thankful for the two turkey dinners I gorged...and thankful my pumpkin cake turned out.
Not so thankful for the indigestion, bloat, and general uncomfortableness at the present moment's officially Christmas season! Time for nonstop Sunny 99.1!

WHAM Recap

Despite the incessant loops of Wham's Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go and Last Christmas playing in my head, I really had a grand old time this past weekend at WHAM (Winter Holiday Art Market).
The bathrooms were behind me. The OPEN bar was next to me. I was a happy camper.
I even brought out Mr. Sparkles (yes, I name inanimate objects)! And I was smugly patting myself on the back when I conjured up this genius way of displaying my new art pendants.
The necklaces were quite a hit! I literally sold the one off my neck!
All in all, it was a fantastic show and I loved meeting all you lovelies that were able to make it out. Yall were all so cute I wish I could just miniaturize you and stuff you in my pockets.

City Love Deux

I have had a not-so-secret love affair with NYC since the summer I interned in the city many moons ago. Unfortunately, Lisa was a bit of a loser that summer. I'm still constantly kicking myself for not taking full advantage of my time there. But rest assured, I have traveled back many times to compensate.

That summer was still pretty memorable though.

I learned to never look up because that's a tell-tale sign of a tourist. I learned to stand on the right, pass on the left. I learned I could walk 25 blocks during lunch hour to buy that shirt I placed on hold and still make it back in time for my sandwich. I learned to not smile at strangers...even cops. =( I learned the wonders that is H&M. I learned the subway smells like pee. I learned the sidewalks smell like pee. I learned that a big purse is not practical and only gets in the way. I learned the company of a park bench. I learned to power walk. I learned how to take 3 different modes of transportation for my morning commute. I learned how to read a subway map. I learned of soup dumplings.

And when I found myself in a strange city all alone for the very first time...I learned how to be me.

THIS is why I can't seem to churn out as many finished pieces as I'd like:
